About
I’m a London-based UX designer with Eastern European roots.
I have four years of experience developing UX for IoT noise monitoring products and solutions for people working in industrial environments such as construction and manufacturing, across the UK.
Working in a start-up, I was able to gain experience in working with different teams and departments for several products, taking responsibility and supporting broad areas of activity. I was involved in all phases of the UX design lifecycle, from user research to visual design.
Design Process
Learn
Recognise people's problems and what we don’t know about them
Understand why they've problems
Find out what it takes to solve their problems
Set boundaries to solve their problems
Build
Develop solutions based on requirements
Build enough to measure and learn quickly
Test what we don't know if our solutions will be successful
Measure
Determine if our solutions have solved users' problems
Understand why our solutions succeeded or failed
Separate what we know now from what we don't know yet
Identify what's essential to solving their problems
Determine if what's essential is within the original boundaries
Design principles
Be informed
Design decisions should be based on research and data. Otherwise, we risk creating products that don't meet the real needs of users. Assuming we know what's best for users without research or data analysis is presumptuous and can very easily lead to products that don't work.
Be useful
Understand users in order to design purposefully. When you design something, you should also think about the purpose of the product, who'll use it and what you want users to do with your product. Pay attention to the context in which the product will be used.
Be considerate and inclusive
Everyone should be able to use your products safely, easily and with dignity. Involve potential users in all stages of the design process.
Be honest
Offer an experience that's clear, simple and ultimately rewarding for users.
